Graveside services for Randal Lloyd Powell, 66, of Jefferson will be 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Berea Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas with Pastor John Taylor, and Pastor Austen Powell officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Captain WM Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.
Randal Lloyd Powell was born September 26, 1955, in Marshall, Texas to Cleo Norman Powell and Bessie Elizabeth Wood Powell in Marshall, Texas and passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at his home. He married Elizabeth (Liz) Navarrette on April 7, 1993. Randal owned and operated Randal Powell Timber with his friend and business partner Doug Canfield.
He had a big heart always helping people in need. He was a dad, mentor, example and friend to his two sons Lucas and Joseph who loved Randal with their whole hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Bessie Powell, nephews Larry Don Powell, and Jeff Belless.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Liz Powell; sons, Lucas (Amanda) Navarrette and Joseph (Sasha) Navarrette; five grandsons, Dylan, Cameron, Ethan, Kacy, Kash, and one granddaughter, Jordan; two Great Grandchildren, Haedyn, and Lainey; brothers, Lawrence Wayne (Carol) Powell, Jerry Lynn (Jerry Ann) Powell; sisters, Linda (James) Chapline, and Debbie (Frank) Howard. Randal is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Casey, John Patterson, Matt Powell, Justin Powell, Randy Thomas, and Hoot VanHoutan.
