Memorial Services for Rosemary Sharpe will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10am in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Lee officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Rosemary Sharpe was born on January 30, 1952 to Herbert and Mary Manning in Jefferson, Texas. Rosemary passed away on August 31, 2025 in Jefferson, Texas.
A true daughter of Jefferson, Rosemary spent her childhood riding horses across the family farm, where she cultivated her love for animals, the outdoors, and a simple way of living. Her beaming personality and boundless sense of fun were legendary, especially during the Pilgrimage Parade where she delighted the community by dressing up as “Granny” from the Beverly Hillbillies—a role she played with infectious joy and humor.
Rosemary’s passions were as colorful as her spirit. She found great excitement in watching wrestling matches, testing her luck at bingo, and attending rodeos with friends and family. Her laughter, quick wit, and welcoming nature were a source of encouragement and light to all who knew her.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her Parents and her brother’s, Roger Manning and Robby Manning.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James Sharpe and wife MaryJo; sisters-in-law, Margie and Mildred Manning; Nephew, Kenny Manning; nieces, Penny Moore and husband Chris, Shannon Singleton and husband JJ, and Cathy Cason and husband Frank.
