Shelley Sommatino

Memorial Services for Shelley Sommatino, 73 of Jefferson, Texas will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 11:00am in the Jefferson Academy Seventh Day Adventist Church Fellowship Hall with Pastor Gene Clapp officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.

She was born on June 1, 1952, in Anaheim, California to Peter Jones and Edith Robinson Jones and passed away on August 30, 2025, in Jefferson, Texas.

Shelley spent many years in the restaurant business alongside her husband. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared so deeply for them. Friends and family fondly recall her authenticity and warmth, whether sharing laughter over movies and TV shows or just spending quality time together.  Shelley’s generosity and genuine spirit made a lasting impact on those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Sommatino; brother, Dan Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carrie Wilkins and husband Tim; siblings, Peter Jones, Mark Jones and wife Lisa, Tom Jones and wife Diane; grandchildren, Brady Wilkins and Ally Wilkins.
