Sherry Andrews-Daniels-Hillman Obituary

Sherry Lynn Andrews- Daniels- Hillman, 66, of Jefferson Texas; went to be home with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at her home where she was surrounded by loved ones.

She was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, aunt and sister. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, humor, and warm-hearted nature. Most of all she loved her family and the time they spent together.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cecil and Linda Andrews; her daughter, Estelle Marie Daniels-McGuire; and one of her favorite Aunts, Susie Willams. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Hillman; her children, Michelle Blum, Mike Daniels and his wife Jenna, Galen Hillman and his wife Christina, Stephanie August and husband Tony, Sheramie Salazar and husband Gabe along with 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and all of her siblings.

She was born in Dallas, Texas in 1957, to Cecil and Linda Andrews. Sherry was the 2nd eldest of 7 children, Rickey, Cecil, Andy, Vickie, Lisa and Audrey.

Sherry met her husband, Melvin Hillman and they were married March 1, 1994 in Galveston, Texas. They would eventually move and settle in Jefferson TX to retire and build her dream home.

Though she loved fishing, horse races, gardening, crafting, time outdoors and spending time with her loved ones; Sherry’s favorite role was that of a grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured her time with her grandkids and great grandkids and loved being their Nana above all else. Sherry always enjoyed passing on her creativity, knowledge and family traditions to the future generations. We couldn’t have asked for a better Mama/Nana, and will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

A memorial is set at First Baptist Church of Linden, Texas on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 2 pm. We ask that attendees wear bright colors in celebration of the life Sherry lived. She was at peace when she was called home to the Lord and wanted her life celebrated, not mourned.
