Terry (Frank) Decker, Jr.

Memorial Services for Terry (Frank) Decker, Jr. 66 of Avinger, Texas will be held on Saturday May 18, 2024, at 11:00am in the Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Avinger, Texas with James Duncan and Tim Shirley.

Terry was born on July 31, 1957, in Galveston, Texas to Frank Terrell “Buster” Decker and Gladiola Gloria Burson Decker and passed away on April 26, 2024, in Avinger, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Shelby Decker; brothers, John Robert Atkinson, Jr., and Ricky Wayne Decker.

Terry was a crane operator which required him to travel. He and his wife, Brenda loved being able to explore and make cherished memories. Part of those memories were the cherished friends they met and made along the way. He was a simple man who loved God and his hobbies were fishing, kayaking, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.  Terry and Brenda were also members of the Lake of The Pine Baptist Church and the Hickory Hill Baptist Church. Terry knew when he passed that he would be with his Lord whom he loved greatly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Brenda Decker; children, Tiffany Jeffries and husband Travis, Stephen York and wife Tara, Wallace Decker, Michael Aaron York, and Eric York and wife Martie; siblings, Douglas Overstreet, Karen Hendricks, Chris Decker and wife Eleanor, Rachel Renz and husband Jason, Jay Atkinson and wife Shelley, Jazalyn Mackay, and Toby Locke; grandchildren, Bailee Johnson and fiancé Logan Hoffpauir, Trey Jeffries, Aubree Jeffries, Raeleigh York, Michael York, Kaylee York, Ella York, Winston York, Joseph York, Mason York, and Maggie York; great granddaughter, Hollee Hoffpauir. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his name can be made to The Lake of the Pines Baptist Church or the Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Avinger, Texas.
