Tracy Thomas McDaniel

Tracy Thomas McDaniel was born March 8, 1955 in Huntington West Virginia. Tracy went to be

with his Lord on April 9, 2018 in Longview Texas. He was 63 years old.  Local arrangements made by Haggard Funeral Home.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father John Thomas (JT) McDaniel. He is survived by his

mother Celestine McDaniel of Jefferson, brother and sister in law John and Traci Ann McDaniel

of Jefferson, daughter and son in law Tracy and Michael Smith of Jefferson, daughter and son

in law Shannon and Mikie Busby of Lone Star, Son and daughter in law Aaron McDaniel and

Beth Thorp of Linden. Grandchildren Trace Smith, Sarah Smith of Jefferson, Remington Busby,

Cabela Bubsy, Case Busby of Lone Star, JT McDaniel, Stormy McDaniel, Savannah Valeau of

Linden, and many loving family and friends.

Tracy attended Jefferson High School and then went into the logging business with his dad. He

worked in the logging industry for thirty plus years. He was knowledgeable of logging equipment

and later owned and operated his own MACK trucks.

Tracy loved deer hunting and when not hunting he loved to drive his children and then

grandchildren around and watch the deer playing in the pastures. He has a passion for gun

collecting and reloading ammunition.

In later years he discovered a love for carpentry and made many beautiful tables, chests, and

other cherished pieces for his children and grandchildren.

Tracy’s great accomplishment and the joy of his life were his children and grandchildren. He

totally adored each and every one of them.

A special thank you to Whispering Pines Lodge of Longview Texas and Hospice Connection of

Longview for taking such great care of him and loving him like their own family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 14, 2018 at Otstott Park in Jefferson Texas at 10

am with a balloon release to honor him with family love and memories.
