Violet Lorraine Spradlin

Funeral services for Mrs. Violet Lorraine Spradlin, 61, of Marshall, Texas formerly of Jefferson, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M.  Thursday August 23, 2018 at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. A visitation of family and friends is planned from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday the 22nd in the Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Mrs. Spradlin passed away peacefully at her home on August 18, 2018 in Marshall, Texas.  Mrs. Spradlin was born March 1, 1957 in Forsyth, Montana to Mr. Carl Belless and Pauline Pierce.

Mrs. Spradlin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Spradlin; brother, Bob; and sister, Carol.

Violet was a member of the Central SDA Church of Jefferson, Texas. She graduated from Panola College earning her RN degree which led her to working in pediatric home health care. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren that she loved dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, J.J. Powel and wife Jaime of Harleton; son, Troy Powell and wife Lizzie of Jefferson; son, Matthew Spradlin and wife Star of Marshall; daughter, Tracy Shelley and husband Brandon of Shreveport; brother Art Belless and wife Inez; brother, Donnie Belless and wife Julie; brother, Rick Belless and wife Lana; brother, Leroy Belless and wife Becky; brother, Carl Powell and wife Julie; sister, Goldie Belless; sister, Rose Frizzle; grandchildren, Deacon Shelley, Isabelle Shelley, Elliana Powell, Emery Powell and Easton Powell as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
