William “Billy” Blackburn was born on November 1, 1973, in Marshall, Texas, to James “Jimmy” Blackburn, M.D., and Armitta Ann Blackburn. He passed away on February 8, 2025.
 
Billy was raised in Marshall, where he attended local schools before furthering his education in HVAC. He later pursued studies at TSTC, completing courses in computer-integrated manufacturing. His dedication and skill led him to a successful career as a CNC machinist and programmer. Beyond his profession, Billy had a deep love for animals and found joy in working on mechanics in his spare time. He was a devoted son, brother, and father, always cherishing the time spent with his family.
 
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jimmy” D. Blackburn, M.D., and Armitta Ann Blackburn.
 
He is survived by his two sons, James William Blackburn and his children, Aubrey, Avery, and Aiden Blackburn; and Austin Scott Blackburn and his spouse, Sara L. Smith, along with their daughter, Addilynn Blackburn. He also leaves behind his siblings, James David Blackburn Jr. and wife Cheryl of Richmond; Patricia A. Blackburn and husband John P. Meyers of Jefferson; and Robert Sims Blackburn and wife Tiffany of Scottsville; Billy’s loving partner, Kimberly Baker, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends, will cherish his memory.
 
Billy will be deeply missed, but his love, kindness, and passion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
