William, a beacon of faith and love, was born on February 8, 1932, in Falcon, Arkansas, to Jefferson Bruce & Mary Clark Morehead. His remarkable journey on this earth came to a peaceful end early Saturday morning in Jefferson, with his devoted wife of 71 years, Imojean, by his side. Their love story began on December 19, 1947, in Nevada County, Arkansas, setting the stage for a lifetime of devotion, service, and joy. Preceding him in death was his parents, two sons, Larry Morehead and Perry Morehead and one brother Gary Morehead, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, W.N. & Charlotte Otwell, Aubrey Goodwin, George & Carolyn Otwell.

Growing up on a rural Arkansas farm, William's early years instilled in him a strong work ethic and a heart for service. As he pursued his passion for electricity, he became a licensed Master Electrician, dedicating over 60 years to his craft. Notably, he played a pivotal role in wiring Grace Christian Academy, now Columbia Christian School in Magnolia, where his son Paul attended school. His illustrious career spanned over 25 years at Magnolia Electric, followed by roles in various electric companies, including installing traffic lights on the loop around San Antonio, Texas.

In the late 80's, William joined SMI Steel in Magnolia, serving as lead Electrician until his eventual retirement - or so he thought! After multiple attempts at retirement, he finally hung up his tools, only to be drawn back by the call to serve.

He and his beloved wife relocated to Mount Enterprise, Texas, to be closer to their family, and Morehead Electric was born. For years, he poured his heart into his work, touching numerous lives and businesses. At 85, he chose to prioritize family time, cherishing every moment of retirement.

Throughout their lives, William and Imojean were pillars of faith at Grace Christian Ministries, Faith Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church in Magnolia, Arkansas, and later, Heritage Baptist Church in Mount Enterprise, where they faithfully served for over 25 years. As a couple, they radiated the love of Christ, raising their children in the church and nurturing their spiritual growth. William's legacy will shine brightly as a devoted husband, father, and friend, remembered for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for people. Though he leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew him, his impact will be felt for generations to come, and his memory will be a blessing to all.

Survivors Include: His wife of 71 years Imojean Otwell Morehead, son; Paul Morehead, brother & sister-in-law; Charles Ray & Reba Morehead, sister & brother-in-law; Sharon Gayle & Terry Hanson, sister-in-law; Eva Jane Morehead, sisters-in-law; Billie Jean Goodwin and Mary Ann Otwell, grandchildren; Derek & Joanne Morehead, Alyssa & Jeremy McCool, great grandchildren; Kynsleigh, Savannah, Hunter, Dennis, Jaxson, Elenna & Kaylan. Numerous nieces and nephews with whom he loved very much and a host of family and friends. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Tammie Payne. Tammie took amazing care of William & Imojean for several years before they moved to Jefferson. Words cannot express the love we feel for everything you have done for us.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his faithful friends at Heritage Baptist Church in Mount Enterprise, Texas.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aids, and the housekeeping staff at Magnolia Place in Jefferson and the nurses and aids at Heart to Heart Hospice for loving and caring for William the last 3 and half years. It means more to us than you will ever know.
