William "Bill" Michael Williams

Memorial Services for William “Bill” Michael Williams, 81 of Jefferson, TX will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024, at 1:00pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Pastor Rick McDonald officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Navy at the Memorial Service. A private family Inurnment will be held at a later date at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana.

Mr. Williams was born on January 5, 1943, in McAlester, Oklahoma to Lowell Elmo Williams and Betty Jane Buckner Williams and passed away on January 18, 2024, in Jefferson, Texas.

Bill, or as his service buddies knew him, “Willy” or “Maka” honorably served in the Marines for 10 years and then served another 10 years in the Navy, retiring after 20 total years of faithful service. Bill was also a proud Shriner, loving father, and adoring husband.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark William Vaskin; and granddaughter Nicole Danielle Cesna.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Edna “Edd” Williams; children, Michelle Ramsay & husband Andrew, Joel Dickey, Dawna Jane Kuuipo Nelson & husband John, Tony Williams, and Dennis Williams; brothers, Dennis A. Williams and James Patrick Woods. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
