Martha Elizabeth Weiser died unexpectedly at home on November 16, 2017 at the age of 29 years.

She is survived by her loving family: her father and mother, Clete and Susanna Key Weiser; her beloved brother, Samuel Weiser; her Aunt, Elizabeth Key Smith; and cousin, Meredith Smith Coe. Martha also is survived by dear friends: Douglas Weir, Tammy Pruitt, Homa Lee Barnes, and Jennifer Pugh.

She attended Hallsville High School, and graduated Cum Laude wih a degree in drama and worship arts from Oral Roberts University in 2011. Subsequently, she earned two Master’s degrees in education and reading from The University of Texas at Tyler. She was working currently on a dyslexia certification at Southern Methodist University. Martha loved teaching children and was teaching at East Elementary in Hallsville with great delight. She was a gifted pianist, had a prophetic ministry, and led anointed worship at the Chapel.

Martha gave her life to Jesus Christ when she was six years old while watching a video of the Bellevue Baptist Church Passion Play. She prayed with Pastor Adrian Rodgers at the end and came running outside to tell us she had invited Jesus into her heart.

For the rest of her life, she chose to walk with Jesus as her Lord. Martha’s countenance reflected the Glory of God in her life. She was always joyful and totally accepting of other people. She had a true heart that reflected the love of Jesus Christ for others. She always forgave those who wronged her and was quick to ask forgiveness if she felt she had wronged someone herself.

Martha never lost her excitement for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was always exuberant in her faith and had a heart for those who were hurting and seeking the Lord. She had a sweet, gentle spirit and was kindness personified. She left a legacy of a true walk with Christ as an example for everyone who knew her. She kept her heart pure and loved her family and friends.  She especially cherished her brother, Samuel and the wonderful relationship they shared. Martha was the rare person who truly lived her Christianity, and however difficult the day, she found a smile.
